"Really? And here I thought I was the skeptic." He was cut short by the beeping of his celphone. He picked it up.

-----------------

"Yes, yes. I'll sign those papers. I'll be down there in five" He clicked his phone off.

I drank a bit before I asked, "Returning to work mode?"

I heard him chuckle as he reached for my pack of cigarette and stuck one in his mouth. He flicked his thumb and out came a small flame from his cuticle. He lighted.

"I take that as a yes" I grinned and looked at him. He shook himself and stared out onto the road. Than never likes being told to get back to his job. He loves it, don't get me wrong, but he's free-spirited, creative and....

"That lady in red stillettos will trip on them as she crosses the road as a speeding truck hurls down towards her."

I heard some screaming, a loud boom and more frantic voices.

....death.

I raised my eyebrow as he blew out smoke. all around us, people were screaming, crying, shouting for help and causing major traffic on the road as they tried to pull out what was left of a diva starlet that got herself caught between the road and the undercarriage of the truck. I smelled a faint scent of metallic blood, one that ran cold.

Than dropped his cigarette and stepped on it. ""Well, my work here is done. I'll see you around 'Ros. Give me a call when you have someone my way."

"Does that mean a lover or a new tenant?"

"Both."

I heard us both laugh as a gust of wind flapped my side and he was gone.
